  • What is the difference between Moorside and Daleside Cottage?

    Both cottages are exactly the same size but differ slightly in lay-out. Moorside Cottage has a large arched window with views across the Vale of Mowbray to the North York Moors. Both cottages have views of the surrounding fields and Mowbray Castle in Hackfall Wood.

  • Do we need a car when staying in Mowbray Hall Cottages?

    Mowbray Hall Cottages are set in a quiet, rural location, half a mile from the village. While there is access to public transport, it is highly recommended that you have a car to explore the area.

  • Are the cottages dog-friendly?

    Yes both Moorside and Daleside Cottages are dog-friendly. One well behaved dog is allowed but not on the beds or furniture please. Each cottage has it’s own enclosed dog-proof terrace/garden area.

  • Is there a pub in walking distance?

    Yes there is! Just a half mile walk up the drive you will find The Crown Inn. Our cosy, friendly village pub serves very good food and local beers on tap.

  • Can we check in early?

    Check in is from 4pm but we can usually accommodate an earlier arrival time. If you would like to arrive before 4pm please let us know and we will do our best to make sure the cottage is ready for you.

  • Can the bed be split into two singles?

    Yes absolutely. Our luxury EPOCH zip and link beds can be made up as twin singles. Please let us know when you are booking if you would like the bed to be separated into twins.
